Since early 2018, Awaken Education has been providing college preparatory classes in partnership with KCS, a non-profit organization that aims to serve as a bridge for Korean immigrants and the wider Asian community to fully integrate into American society and overcome social, health, and economic barriers. KCS services include programs in Elder Care, Education (including classes in English language, computer skills, dance, and art), Immigration, Workforce Development, Public Health, and Mental Health. Our classes take place at KCS’s Bayside, Queens location at 203-05 32nd Ave, Bayside, NY 11361.
The purpose of this collaboration is to provide the community with premium-quality test prep, subject classes (writing, math, etc.), and college essay guidance at affordable rates. Scholarships opportunities are available to those who demonstrate financial need and demonstrate academic excellence. Classes are open to all, not just Korean-American and Asian-American students!
